Tren de las Nubes, one of the most remarkable train routes worldwide, takes its name from the impressive 4,200 meters height it reaches, in a 434-km round trip.
The tour starts in Salta Train Station and ends in La Polvorilla Viaduct in San Antonio de los Cobres.
The train offers dining room services, interpreters and medical assistance in case of altitude sickness during the ascension that goes from 1,187 meters above de the sea level in Salta City to 4,200 meters in the viaduct. There are local-run stands available in the different stations, selling beautiful handcrafts and regional products.
We will be driven across 28 bridges, 21 tunnels, 13 viaducts, 2 spirals, and 2 zigzag ways, starting at 07:00 in the morning and ending at 22:00 hrs.
